The Lalla Takerkoust lake was built with the intention of providing water to the nearby city of Marrakech (about 45 minutes away) in the early 20th century. And for those who want a little more activity, various registered and unregistered businesses rent jet skis for fun on the water. They also offer transportation to more remote areas where conditions may be more ideal on a given day.
